Rendered unfit for further service from gun shot wound of right shoulder, the ball entering posteriorily, passed upwards, and came out a little behind the centre of the clavicle. Impaired motion of the joint, and weakness of the limb remains. Received also gun shot wound of right side of face, the ball entering a little posterior to angle of right lower jaw, passing upwards and inwards came out below malar bone. The lower was fractured and several portions of bone exfoliated. Motion of jaw impaired. Wounds on 8th Sep [1855].
